What options do we have?
1. Cosmetic dentistry
Cosmetic dentistry has been revolutionised by the introduction of veneers/laminates. These are thin shells of about 0.3-0.5mm that mask the appearance of the existing tooth and give us the option to change the shape and color of the tooth. These shells are bonded to the front surface of your tooth after minimal reduction of about 0.3-0.7mm. Once bonded and properly adjusted in occlusion they appear to completely blend in your smile
2. Crowns/ Bridges/ Veneers.
The other option that we have is of a full mouth treatment with crowns/bridges/veneers. This is an extensive treatment modality requiring alot of patient cooperation, multiple appointments, lab work and expensive as well. It requires proper methodology to completely transform a smile that should be not only be aesthetic but also functionally sound.
